A special piece of women's bifurcated clothing from the 1930s. During the 1930s auto camping saw a boom, and given the state of the world at the time with the Great Depression, people saw trailer camping as a cheaper economic alternative to travel/vacation. Along with this phenomena came clothing brands that wanted to capitalize on the booming American travel trailer market; brands like Sears, J.C. Penney, The Big Favorite, and others produced small lines of 'trailer-' theme clothing. There was even a company formed solely to capture this audience and market called 'Trailer-Frocks Mfg. Co.'

This piece is a direct example of precise marketing for a booming clientele who wanted to dress the part. Circa mid 1930s, these chambray halter overalls have a low back with ties, double side button closures with cherry red plastic buttons, with hip pockets, and wide-sweeping palazzo legs. The top stitching was originally red to match the buttons. but has since faded to this incredible pink, there were also added darts at back waist which have been let out to reveal the original size. Period correct chambray repairs throughout front and back.

Condition: Great for age and nature of garment; fully repaired and restored to be made wearable. Some discoloration on legs, color fades, pin holes remain. Clean, strong, and ready to wear
