One of the most beautiful garments I've had the pleasure of owning. A rare piece of fashion in film history, used for 'Paramount Pictures Ladies Wardrobe' with the stamped label inside as well as a smaller label sewn in near the maker tag, which is by 'Bullocks Willshire.' 1930s silk trained peignoir with silk charmeuse bow appliqué that cascades down the bodice into the skirt, insertion lace on bodice with gathered petal sleeves. This garments is entirely hand sewn, with small scale hook and eye closures up the bodice front which then opens up to an open front skirt.
Condition: I did some major restoration on this piece as the shoulders were shattered and dry lace that had to be cut and reworked, which is now lined in an embroidered cotton net to make it extra strong and wearable. The staining lifted almost perfectly with just a faint area underarm which can't be seen due to petal sleeves. A few minor pin holes on the lace, and few stitched scattered on applied that needed tacking down. Overall presents beautifully again, clean and ready to be worn
