Remarkable Edwardian, turn of the century fine batiste cotton inset lace trained mutton sleeve gown. High neck pigeon breast bodice with mutton sleeve that transfers into fitted lace forearms and pointed sleeve hems. Full skirt with layers of fabric and two rows of woven pale silk ribbons on skirt with bow and rosette detailing. Tiny self covered button down the length of the center back with a covered placket and two hook and eyes with button closure at the CB waist. Wired boning inside the neck
Condition: Nearly pristine for age; a few small pen head holes scattered and some mended areas to lace which are indiscernible, plus minor wear around waist closures and one replaced bottom bodice button. Presents like new
