RESERVED Antique 1916 Embroidered Net Hoop Skirt Gown Volup
Remarkable and exceedingly rare Edwardian gown circa 1916, made of embroidered layers of ecru net with voluminous and ethereal sleeves, a frilly collar, and a built in hoop skirt. Right on the cusp of 'Robe De Style' gowns of the 1920s. Pink and blue 3D flowers sewn in at wast line and on side of skirt. Built in pale pink cotton bodice liner and skirt liner with rows of ruffles to give a fuller look to the skirt. Hook and eye closures across front waist and inside bodice liner, as well as side waist
Condition: Impeccable for age; no tears or major holes to note. Some discoloration to net as shown, mostly near hem
Bust: 40" flat measuring bodice lining, but room for larger due to plunging/open front. Net part of dress allows for any size bust
Shoulders: 16" with plenty of room
Waist: 34" resting up to 36"
