Rare and collectible piece of turn of the century women's maternity/ nursing attire. Early 1900s crisp cotton princess slip with border anglaise yoke and trimming hem, with slits over the bust. Custom seaming to accommodate a postpartum body with the added side seam panels/ seaming. Tiny Shell button down the center back with a hook and eye at top of back yoke. Double layered skirt hem.
Condition; Great for age and nature of garment. Small and inconspicuous repairs in broderie anglaise and a few small threadbare pen head holes. Plus some ghost stitching around slits and near hem where there may have been another element originally. See photos
