Rare 1830s Hand Sewn Cotton Eyelet Day Dress
Ethereal and rare 1830s completely hand stitched fine cotton eyelet under dress with dropped shoulders gigot sleeves, standing notched edging at neckline and high empire waist. Handmade Dorset buttons at back and hook and eye closures at waist line. Pocket slit opening, as women during this time have a waist pocket
Condition: Good for age; considering this dress is nearly 200 years old it presents beautifully. Some small pin holes in skirt that are quite hidden, darned repairs and some small tearing to sleeve cuffs as well as repairs to the neckline where eyelet and the bodice meet. Shoulders have some small repairs as well as seen. Can be worn with care. Piece of fashion history great for any collector or a bride looking for something less ordinary to wear
