Victorian Shawl & Devore Velvet Cape Remade 1930s
Truly unreal and special 19th Century paisley woven shawl remade into a double layered cloak/cape with devore burnout velvet wrap neck scarf. Single large hook closure at the neckline, slits underneath top layer of the cape for arms. Fully lined in a soft cotton blend. Due to fabrics used/ closures it looks like this piece was most likely constructed around the 1930s or so based upon an antique pattern
