Mid Century Antique Paisley Shawl Turned Coat
Incredible and original example of repurposing and recycling vintage fabrics, this coat was made from antique 1800s/1900s paisley wool challis shawl and turned into a coast in the 1940s/1950s. Early and large red plastic buttons down the front with 3/4 length sleeves and a swing style shape, lined in what looks to be a kimono or kimono fabric from the same era.
Condition: Good for age; there are some areas in the lining that are tearing and delicate, but it really doesn't affect wear, and could realistically be taken out if desired. Some darned repairs on back of coat as shown
