Reserved- 1890s Terracotta Indian Inspired Printed Bishop Sleeve Wrapper Gown
Stunning 1890s Indian inspired block print wrapper dress with a ruffle collar and voluminous bishop sleeves that cinch in at forearm, and a small mandarin style collar. Made from a flanker backed cotton, soft and cozy turkey red interior. Hook and eye closure at neckline
Condition: Good-great; this piece took some time to bring back to life. Inside lining was fitted button down bodice made of mostly twill that had rotted away, so to preserve the garment that entire inner bodice was removed and hand sewn finished. Lining underneath collar shows some fabric deterioration still, and some small mends to collar, and bodice back seams as shown Still wears as it should, just stronger and wearable now. Overall stunning shape for age
