This 1860s era three piece gown is jaw dropping. The bodice has  covered buttons up the front, with hook and eyes closures at the side waist. A sash belt is removable and has a bow and elongated back panels, with hook and eye closures at front bow to fasten. The skirt has a burlap bustle attached inside, as well as rings inside that hold the original string to tighten or loosen as needed and is lined in an incredble floral gauze. Also two extra panels that were not yet attached with fringe detailing that would have been part of the belt, but will be included to add where you please.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFabric: Silk taffeta \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition: This dress is around 160 years old, so the wear you see is accurate and normal for age, but all around this piece is museum quality. There are some water marks and smaller age spots, loose threads, some small tears on skirt that are on the seams. No tears or holes to note that are obvious, the only tears are on skirt seams, which is all entirely hand sewn, so the thread is dry and that is why there are some tears. The lining needs to be re-attached to hem of dress in some areas, again due to the dry thread from age. Could be worn carefully, fabric is very strong still.
